Google, Yahoo and MSN as Well unites but only for one common reason i.e - Sitemaps
According to Googleblog , Yahoo ! and Microsoft are joined Goolge for officially supporting the Sitemap Protocol , Which let webmasters/ SEOs to inform search engines about URLs in their websites, so that search engines bots/ crawlers could effectively crawl them. For site owners, Sitemaps will help improve website visibility in search results.

Google released it under the Attribution/Share Alike Creative Commons license. Moreover its second time that search engines majors cooperating for one common reason after no-follow of Blogs comments.
